Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef
1 (1 ounce) packet taco seasoning mix
1/2 cup water
1 head lettuce, shredded
2 tomatoes, chopped
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup salsa
1/2 cup sour cream
1 (10.5 ounce) bag corn chips (such as Fritos), individual-sized bags
Instructions
Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess fat.
Stir in taco seasoning mix and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the liquid has reduced and the meat is well coated.
Assemble the walking tacos: Open individual bags of corn chips. Gently crush the chips a bit to make room for fillings.
Add a spoonful of the seasoned ground beef to each bag.
Top with shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, salsa, and sour cream.
Serve with a fork and enjoy directly from the bag.
Notes
You can customize the toppings with your favorite taco ingredients like black beans, corn, onions, or jalapeños.
For a vegetarian option, substitute the ground beef with seasoned black beans or a plant-based ground meat alternative.
