A comforting and hearty turkey noodle casserole, perfect for a family meal. This dish features tender turkey, egg noodles, and a creamy sauce, all baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked turkey, shredded or diced
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cooked turkey, cooked noodles, cream of mushroom soup, milk, onion, celery, and peas. Mix well.
  4. Pour the mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. In a small bowl, combine shredded cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, and melted butter. Sprinkle evenly over the casserole.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
  7. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can use leftover roasted turkey or cooked chicken for this recipe.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like carrots or corn.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of dried thyme or poultry seasoning to the mixture.
