Flaky puff pastry twists filled with spinach and feta for a savory snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 cup fresh spinach (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese (crumbled)
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix spinach, feta, olive oil, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  3. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface. Spread the spinach-feta mixture evenly over half of the pastry.
  4. Fold the other half over the filling and press edges to seal.
  5. Cut into 1-inch strips. Twist each strip and place on the baking sheet.
  6. Brush with egg wash. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.

  • Thaw puff pastry according to package instructions.
  • Use fresh spinach for best texture.
