  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix sourdough starter, flour, sugar, salt, milk, egg, and melted butter in a bowl.
  2. Knead until smooth, then let rise for 2 hours.
  3. Roll out dough and cut into donut shapes.
  4. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry donuts for 1-2 minutes per side until golden.
  6. Drain on paper towels and coat with sugar if desired.
