A make-ahead breakfast casserole with bread, blueberries, and a custard mixture.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups cubed French bread
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Grease a baking dish.
  2. Layer bread cubes and blueberries.
  3. Whisk eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  4. Pour mixture over bread.
  5. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.

Notes

  • Use stale bread for better texture.
  • Substitute frozen blueberries if fresh are unavailable.
