A creamy and flavorful one-pan dish with tender chicken, orzo, and a rich sauce. Perfect for a quick and delicious meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season chicken with salt, pepper, oregano, and basil.
  2. Cook chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in orzo and toast for 1 minute.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cook for 8-10 minutes until orzo is tender.
  6. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until creamy.
  7. Slice chicken and place it back in the skillet. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

  • Use fresh herbs if available for extra flavor.
  • Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra texture.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
