Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground turkey
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 hamburger buns
Toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickles, etc.)
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form them into patties, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent them from bulging during cooking.
Preheat a grill or a large skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the cooking surface.
Place the turkey burgers on the grill or in the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the burgers are cooked through.
During the last minute of cooking, if desired, place a slice of cheese on each patty to melt.
Serve the turkey burgers on hamburger buns with your favorite toppings.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika or dried herbs to the burger mixture.
If you prefer a spicier burger, add a dash of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes.
These burgers can also be baked in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes.
