  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk (optional for glaze)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (optional for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add egg and vanilla, mix well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients to form a dough.
  6. Roll dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  7. Sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar evenly over the dough.
  8. Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 1/2-inch pieces.
  9. Place cookies on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  10. For glaze, mix powdered sugar and milk, then drizzle over cooled cookies.

Notes

  • Chill the dough for 30 minutes for easier rolling.
  • Adjust cinnamon to taste.
