This hot crab dip is a rich and flavorful appetizer, perfect for parties and gatherings. It’s creamy, cheesy, and packed with tender crab meat, offering a delightful blend of textures and tastes.

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound lump crab meat, drained and picked over for shells
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
  3. Gently fold in the lump crab meat, cheddar cheese, and Monterey Jack cheese until just combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a 1-quart baking dish.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and lightly browned on top.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
  7. Serve hot with crackers, toasted baguette slices, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

  • For best results, use good quality lump crab meat.
  • Adjust the amount of Worcestershire sauce and spices to your taste.
  • This dip can be made ahead of time and refrigerated. Bake just before serving.
  • If making ahead, you may need to add a few extra minutes to the baking time.
