A versatile cream of soup mix you can use as a base for casseroles, sauces, and soups.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups powdered milk
  • 3/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup instant chicken or vegetable bouillon
  • 2 tbsp dried onion flakes
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. Whisk until fully blended.
  3. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
  4. To use, mix 1/3 cup of the blend with 1 1/4 cups water and cook over medium heat until thickened.

Notes

  • Adjust seasonings to taste.
  • Works as a substitute for canned cream soups.
  • Use within 6 months for best flavor.
