- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mash bananas, then add melted butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just mixed.
- In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and granulated sugar.
- Pour half the batter into the loaf pan, sprinkle half the cinnamon sugar, then add the rest of the batter and top with the remaining cinnamon sugar.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool before slicing.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor.
- Do not overmix the batter to avoid a dense loaf.
