A delicious and moist banana bread with a sweet cinnamon swirl for extra flavor. Perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mash bananas, then add melted butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just mixed.
  5. In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and granulated sugar.
  6. Pour half the batter into the loaf pan, sprinkle half the cinnamon sugar, then add the rest of the batter and top with the remaining cinnamon sugar.
  7. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let it cool before slicing.

Notes

  • Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor.
  • Do not overmix the batter to avoid a dense loaf.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
