  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beef broth, uncooked macaroni, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the macaroni is tender, stirring occasionally.
  5. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and milk until melted and combined.
  6. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • Feel free to substitute other types of pasta, such as penne or rotini.
