Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz lo mein noodles
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced thin
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Remove from pan.
  3. Add the remaining oil to the pan. Stir-fry garlic, carrots, bell peppers, and mushrooms for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Return the chicken to the pan. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and black pepper.
  5. Add the cooked noodles and toss everything together until well coated.
  6. Garnish with green onions and serve hot.

Notes

  • Substitute chicken with tofu for a vegetarian option.
  • Adjust soy sauce to taste if you prefer less salt.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for extra heat.
