- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 packet (1 ounce) taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup water
- 12 corn or flour tortillas
- Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, salsa, guacamole
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
- Warm the tortillas according to package directions (microwave, oven, or skillet).
- Serve the seasoned beef in the warm tortillas with your desired toppings.
