Crispy hashbrown sausage bites are a delicious breakfast or snack option. They combine savory sausage with golden hashbrowns for a satisfying crunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups shredded hashbrown potatoes
  • 1/4 cup grated onion
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F
  2. Mix sausage, hashbrowns, onion, flour, egg, salt and pepper in a bowl
  3. Shape mixture into 1-inch balls
  4. Heat oil in skillet over medium heat
  5. Brown bites on all sides, about 3 minutes
  6. Transfer to baking sheet
  7. Bake for 10 minutes until fully cooked

Notes

  • Use thawed hashbrowns for best results
  • Can substitute turkey sausage for lower fat
  • Serve with dipping sauces if desired
