1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup milk
1 large egg, beaten
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a 9×5 inch loaf pan or on a baking sheet.
In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar for the glaze.
Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a moister meatloaf, you can add 1/4 cup of grated carrot or zucchini to the mixture.
If you don’t have breadcrumbs, you can use crushed crackers or rolled oats.
