A delicious and aromatic apple bread with a sweet cinnamon swirl, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until light. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  4. Alternately add dry ingredients and sour cream to the batter.
  5. Fold in diced apples.
  6. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon for the swirl.
  7. Pour half the batter into the pan, sprinkle half the cinnamon sugar, then repeat.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool before slicing.
