Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 large egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over one half of the pastry.
  4. Fold the other half of the pastry over the cheese, pressing gently to seal.
  5. Cut the pastry into triangles or rectangles, about 2 inches wide at the base.
  6. Roll each triangle from the wide end to the point to form a croissant shape.
  7. Place the croissants on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Brush the tops of the croissants with the beaten egg.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of black pepper or herbs to the cheese.
