A festive and elegant Caprese skewer wreath, perfect for appetizers. This dish features cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella balls, and basil leaves, drizzled with balsamic glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pints cherry tomatoes
  • 1 (8 ounce) package fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini), drained
  • 1 large bunch fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup balsamic glaze

Instructions

  1. Thread one cherry tomato, one mozzarella ball, and one basil leaf onto each small skewer.
  2. Repeat the pattern until all ingredients are used, or until skewers are full.
  3. Arrange the skewers in a circular pattern on a large platter or serving board to form a wreath.
  4. Drizzle the balsamic glaze generously over the Caprese skewer wreath just before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can marinate the mozzarella balls in olive oil and Italian herbs for 30 minutes before assembling.
  • If fresh basil is unavailable, you can use baby spinach leaves as an alternative.
  • To make your own balsamic glaze, simmer balsamic vinegar over low heat until it reduces and thickens.
