This Caprese Croissant Sandwich combines the classic flavors of Caprese salad with the buttery flakiness of a croissant for a delicious and easy meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 large croissants
  • 4 slices fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 1 large ripe tomato, sliced
  • 68 fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice the croissants in half horizontally.
  2. Layer two slices of fresh mozzarella on the bottom half of each croissant.
  3. Arrange the tomato slices over the mozzarella.
  4. Place the fresh basil leaves on top of the tomatoes.
  5. Drizzle balsamic glaze over the basil leaves.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  7. Cover with the top half of the croissant.
  8. Serve immediately.
