These Buffalo Cauliflower Wings are a delicious and healthier alternative to traditional chicken wings. They are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and coated in a spicy, tangy buffalo sauce. Perfect as an appetizer or a snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons melted plant-based butter or oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, water, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Add the cauliflower florets to the batter and toss until evenly coated.
  4. Arrange the coated cauliflower in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cauliflower is tender and lightly golden.
  6. While the cauliflower bakes, combine the buffalo sauce and melted plant-based butter or oil in a bowl.
  7. Remove the cauliflower from the oven and transfer it to a clean bowl. Pour the buffalo sauce mixture over the cauliflower and toss until all florets are well coated.
  8. Return the sauced cauliflower to the baking sheet and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized and slightly sticky.
  9. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or blue cheese dressing.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, you can lightly spray the cauliflower with cooking spray before the first bake.
  • Adjust the amount of buffalo sauce to your preference.
  • These wings are best served fresh.
