Spicy jalapeño peppers filled with cream cheese and wrapped in savory beef bacon, then grilled or baked until crispy.

  • 12 large jalapeño peppers
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 12 slices beef bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or grill to medium heat.
  2. Cut each jalapeño pepper in half lengthwise and carefully remove the seeds and membranes.
  3. In a small bowl, combine softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, green onions, and garlic powder.
  4. Spoon the cream cheese mixture into each jalapeño half.
  5. Wrap each filled jalapeño half with a slice of beef bacon. Secure with a toothpick if needed.
  6. Place the bacon-wrapped jalapeños on a baking sheet or directly on the grill grates.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or grill for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the bacon is crispy and the jalapeños are tender.
  8. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra spice, leave some of the seeds in the jalapeños.
  • You can prepare these ahead of time and refrigerate until ready to cook.
  • Experiment with different cheese combinations for varied flavor.
