A delicious and easy-to-make bread inspired by Amish baking traditions, featuring sweet apple chunks and a cinnamon sugar swirl.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar mix (1/2 cup sugar + 1 tbsp cinnamon)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Fold in diced apples.
  5. Pour half the batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle half the cinnamon sugar mix over it.
  6. Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon sugar.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool before slicing.

Notes

  • Use firm apples like Granny Smith for better texture.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • For extra richness, drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
