A quick and easy miso soup recipe you can make in just 10 minutes. Perfect for a light meal or side dish.

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tbsp white miso paste
  • 1 sheet nori (dried seaweed), cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup tofu, cubed
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp dashi powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat water in a pot over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
  2. Add miso paste and stir until fully dissolved.
  3. Add tofu, nori, and dashi powder if using. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Stir in soy sauce and green onions.
  5. Remove from heat and serve hot.

Notes

  • Do not boil miso paste to preserve its flavor.
  • Adjust soy sauce to taste for saltiness.
  • Add extra vegetables like mushrooms or spinach if desired.
