A quick and simple Korean egg rice dish ready in just 10 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp toasted sesame seeds
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add cooked rice and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  3. Crack an egg into the pan and mix well with the rice.
  4. Cook while stirring until the egg is fully set (about 3 minutes).
  5. Add soy sauce and mix evenly.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onion and sesame seeds.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use day-old rice for better texture.
  • Adjust soy sauce to taste.
  • For spiciness, add gochujang or chili flakes.
